محمد السِّباعي أديب وناقد مصري، يجمع بين اهتماماته الأكاديمية والمشهد الثقافي من خلال النشر والمشاركة في الفعاليات الثقافية المحلية والعربية. تولى منصب مدير تحرير مجلة "عالم الكتاب" الصادرة عن الهيئة المصرية العامة للكتاب في إصدارها الرابع عام 2016. بدأ السِّباعي بنشر مقالات تحليلية في العديد من الجرائد الورقية منذ عام 2002، واستمر في نشر مقالات تتناول التحليل السياسي والاجتماعي حتى يناير 2011، حيث جُمعت ونُشرت في كتاب بعنوان "سلسلة اللعبة" الذي يحتوي على 34 مقالة حول الواقع السياسي والاجتماعي العربي. أصدر أيضًا كتابه الأدبي الأول "يوميات حمار من مصر"، وهو من كتب النقد الاجتماعي الساخر، ويضم مجموعة من اليوميات التي تتناول العلاقات السياسية والاقتصادية داخل المجتمع المصري. من بين مقالاته الأخيرة "المشهد الثقافي العربي" عام 2016، التي تناول فيها النقد المعياري للنص الأدبي. كما نشر العديد من القصص القصيرة والمقالات النقدية في مجلات وصحف عربية مثل "المجلة الإماراتية"، "المجلة المصرية"، "الاتحاد الكردستاني"، و"الصباح العراقية".
