Beschreibungen

Ahmed Shawky wrote the novel "Ladias Al -Fatena" or "The Last of the Pharaohs" in 1899 AD, a historical prose novel that was taken from Greece and ancient Egypt as a space for its events. The time of the novel revolves in the Pharaonic era, and Shawky has used love as a starting point for the adoption of historical events, similar to writing the first novels in Arabic literature.
Ladias Al -Fateh embodies a historical literary experience that reflects the national reality as Shawky sees it at that time. The novel deals with the manifestations of conflict and conflict between the leaders of the army and the people on the one hand, and between the ruler and its advisers on the other hand. Through which the struggle for power and internal turmoil is monitored. The novel turns into an implicit vision of the Orabi revolution on Khedive Tawfiq, where Shawky wanted to warn and indicate symbols and gestures when direct speech became unable to express ideas.
As a teacher in history and preachers, Shawky is working on providing his renewed vision of the past and present, warning intelligently of the political and social challenges that may be ravaged by nations and societies. "Ladias Al -Fatna" is a literary masterpiece that Shawky was inspired by the events and feelings that surrounded him in his time, and it still impresses readers and critics to this day.
